4th of July Celebration

This annual celebration is a year-round topic of conversation in the community and is renowned throughout the state. Participation levels top 10,000 people per day.

Activities are scheduled for July 2, 3, and 4.

All events are held in downtown Chanhassen at City Center Park, 7700 Market Boulevard, unless noted otherwise.

We're Looking for Volunteers!



With the city's largest event right around the corner, the city and the Rotary Club of Chanhassen are looking for volunteers. There are over 100 different opportunities ranging from parade marshals to selling beer garden tickets or 4th of July t-shirts. This is a great way to get involved with this incredible event and give back to your community!

Purchase your 4th of July t-shirt for only $10. Available at City Hall, Chan Recreation Center, or at the event! White, blue, and grey shirts are available in unisex, ladies, and children sizes. While supplies last.

3-10pm                  Family Night at the Carnival
     • All rides $2 from 3-8pm; otherwise $3-$5. Concessions available.

Monday, July 3rd Events

10am-1pm Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Clinic
     • Free
     • Ages 6-9: 10-11:30am
     • Ages 10-16: 11:30am-1pm
     • Lean the fundamentals of hitting, fielding & throwing. 
     • No registration necessary.
3-10pm Water Wars
     • $3 Small Bucket  |  $5 Large Bucket
3:30-11pm Midwest Carnival Rides & Concessions
     • Unlimited-ride wristbands for $25 from 5-11pm.
     • Otherwise, rides are $3-$5 each.
3:30-9pm Gamin' Ride Video Games
     • $5 for 30 minutes or $15 for unlimited-play
        wristbands.
     • Compete against friends in Maria Kart and/or a Just
        Dance Challenge.
     • Come to the Gamin' Ride Theatre between 3:30-4pm
        for competition. Competition ends at 4:30pm.
4-8pm Pony Rides

     • Compete as individuals or groups in 2-age groups.

7pm 3rd Lair Summer Skateboard Series
     • Free
     • Registration starts at 6pm.
     • Series geared for all ages & abilities.
     • Limited to 75 skaters. 
     • Earn points to compete at the MN State Fair. 
7-11pm                Street Dance featuring Casa Blanca Orchestra (CBO)
     • Free
     • Located in the large tent. 
     • CBO will play all your favorite party tunes, new and
        old. Get ready to get your groove on! 

Tuesday, July 4th Events

7-10am               Adult Fishing Conests (Lake Ann)
     • $20. Pre-registration required. Limited to 50 people.
     • Catch & release. 
     • Prizes awarded for top-3 longest northern and top-3
        longest bass. 
     • Door prizes for all that fish the entire contest.
