Christmas Trees

How can you dispose of your Christmas tree?

Residents have three options: Have the boy scouts pick it up, take it to the Environmental Center, or have your garbage hauler collect it.

Why take your tree to the Environmental Center or have it collected by the Boy Scouts?

Because most haulers who pick up trees take them to a landfill which wastes a natural resource. Check with your hauler to see if they drop them at a landfill or a compost site. All trees dropped off at the Environmental Center or collected by the scouts are composted.

Boy Scout Tree Collection

Boy Scout Troop 337 will be collecting Christmas trees door-to-door and delivering them to a compost site on Saturday, January 6th for a fee of $10.00. This event will help raise funds for the Troop's annual operating expenses and Camp Scholarships along with providing a service to residents in disposing their trees properly and conveniently.

To take advantage of this service, you must sign up for it by Wed., Dec. 27th. Email Troop 337 at bsatroop3337@gmail.com with your name, address and phone number, and the troop will provide you with any further details. Boy Scout Troop 337 Thanks YOU! in advance for your support.
