Minneapolis Federal Reserve

Thursday, November 16, 2017

Experience this unique walking tour of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Fed serves the 9th District of the United States Federal Reserve and has become a locus of activity for several Federal Reserve System electronic functions and currently has 1100+ employees. The building showcases several rare and beautiful art pieces. The Federal Reserve Bank maintains the quality and quantity of currency and coin in circulation, using state-of-the-art equipment, also known as robots, to handle and process incoming and outgoing currency. Following a warm food buffet at Milwaukee Road to include non-alcoholic beverage, dessert, and salads, we will travel a short distance to the Firefighters Hall and Museum, featuring 12,000 square feet of historic items from Minnesota fire departments dating back into the 1860’s. There are fire trucks, fire equipment, and many historic photos at this hidden treasure! A valid photo I.D. and security procedures are required for entrance.
