    It’s time for some running and kicking fun! Join our team to learn the sport of soccer. Each week, we use fun games to teach soccer skills, build self-confidence, and learn sportsmanship. Ages 5 - 6. All participants will receive a Chan Rec Center Sports t-shirt, along with a medal and certificate the final day. As the weather changes, we will use the Rec Center Gym as an indoor facility. Registration is limited to meet Minnesota Department of Health Youth Sports Guidelines.     A 60-minute class of gentle yoga poses that focus on flexibility and mobility. Postures are performed lying on the floor, seated, kneeling and standing. It is recommended that you have the ability to move between these positions. Students are encouraged to bring yoga blocks and a strap to assist postures. We use slow, dynamic movement, breathing strategies, and a short meditation to create a calm experience. The instructor will help you learn how to move into poses and adjust poses to work with your body.     A 60-minute class of traditional yoga poses that focus on strength and flexibility. The class uses continuous flowing sequences to move through three energy phases: Gentle stretches and warming postures, strengthening postures and balance work, deep stretches, and mind work. Students are encouraged to bring yoga blocks and a strap to assist postures. The class moves slowly and focuses on precision for optimal health and safety in a challenging practice. Children learn through play with a wide variety of music that will enrich their musical environment and guide them towards a lifetime of music-making enjoyment. They (and you!) will have so much fun with the multicultural music collections while obtaining all the learning, and developmental benefits music offers - especially during the early childhood years when children are most impressionable. Our class sizes will be smaller (8 students maximum per class), and we will be more spread out to have each family 6 feet apart.   29. Mat Pilates for Beginners - Session 1

    Pilates uses precise movements to build strength, mental focus and control. Each exercise is rooted in spinal movement or spinal stabilization. Limbs are used as weights as well as tests of coordination, balance and flexibility. Exercises are done lying on your back, lying on your side, prone, or seated. Please wear comfortable clothing meant for exercise and bring a mat. This class is designed specifically for students new to Pilates practice who are interested in discovering what it is all about.
