West Water Treatment Plant
Future West Water Treatment Plant SignOverview
The City is planning to construct a West Water Treatment Plant to filter out iron and manganese from the west well field. These naturally occurring minerals are what cause the water to become discolored at times.

Updates
December 5, 2016 - Construction is anticipated to begin the first week in January, 2017. Lake Harrison Road (from Galpin Boulevard to the windmill) will be closed at this time as well. Bus company and garbage haulers will be notified of this closure.

Silt Fence Installation  December 6, 2016
Anticipated Construction to Begin/Lake Harrison Rd. Closed at Galpin Blvd.  January 5, 2017
Galpin Boulevard Utility Improvement Construction Begins  Spring, 2017
Galpin Boulevard Utility Improvement Substantial Completion  August, 2017
Substantial Completion and Start-Up of Treatment Plant June, 2018
