Radon
Overview
Radon is an odorless, colorless, naturally-occurring gas. Long-term exposure to it can cause lung cancer. Exposure to radon in the home is responsible for an estimated 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year. Radon is a health hazard with a simple solution. Read "A Citizen's Guide to Radon".

The City offers short-term home test kits for $8. They can be purchased at City Hall.

Carver County is in a Zone 1 area for radon.  The United States Environmental Protection Agency encourages all homes to be tested for radon.
