Picnic Reservations
Are you planning a company picnic or family reunion?  Chanhassen has several facility options that may be just right for you! To check the availability of any of the picnic sites listed below, contact Jerry Ruegemer by either email or at 952-227-1121. Sites are available from May 1-October 1.

Rental Information
  • Reservations: Tentatively recorded until receipt of fees. Prospective groups have 2 weeks to pay the picnic fees and $200 deposit. If this does not occur, the reservation will be canceled.
  • Damage Deposit: A refundable damage deposit of $200 is required by all groups reserving a picnic site. The deposit is due at the time the reservation is made. No exceptions. The site will be inspected after the event, and provided there are no damages, the deposit will be promptly returned.
  • Clean Up: The reserving group is responsible for cleaning the reserved area. Garbage cans are provided.
  • Alcohol:  Picnic groups are permitted to have malt beverages (beer) and wine. Kegs are also permitted. All other forms of alcohol are prohibited.
  • Glass: Glass containers are not permitted at public beaches and the city skate park.
  • Pets: Pets are not allowed in city parks. Please leave them at home. Petting zoo's and other animal contracted services are not permitted.
  • Generators: A generator for providing electricity is not allowed in any of Chanhassen's picnic sites.
  • Games & Rides: Groups wishing to bring in any type of electrical amusement game or ride must have prior approval.
  • Refunds: The policy for canceled reservations is:
    • Cancellation 30 days in advance: $10 cancellation fee
    • Cancellation 29-14 days in advance: 50% cancellation fee
    • Cancellation 13-0 days in advance: No refund
  • Weather: Due to inclement weather, your scheduled event may be rescheduled or canceled without penalty, subject to availability.
  • Contracts: Upon receiving the 2 Facility Reservation Contracts, promptly sign them, retain one copy, and return the other copy and $200 deposit to:
