February Festival is held on Lake Ann in early February each year and is sponsored by the City of Chanhassen and local businesses. This one-day event draws 1,500-2,000 participants and spectators.

NEW Prize Format for 2010!

$6,000 TOTAL FISH PRIZES: A total of $6,000 in prizes will be awarded for the 50 largest fish caught during the contest. Fishing tickets are $10.00 each for all ages and may be purchased in Chanhassen at Byerly's, Cub Foods, Ivan's Sinclair, Chanhassen City Hall, Chanhassen Recreation Center, or in Victoria at Cabin Fever Sports.

2010 February Festival Fish Prize Winners

GRAND PRIZE - $500 Travel Voucher: Win a travel voucher good for anywhere in the continental United States courtesy of Travel Advisors International/American Express.

$3,000 DOOR PRIZES: The door prizes will no longer be associated with the fishing contest. Instead, each attendee will receive one free door prize ticket at the event for a chance to win $3,000 in prizes. The door prizes will be awarded by random drawing throughout the event. Must be present to win.

Schedule of Events

Celebrate winter at Chanhassen's 17th Annual February Festival on Saturday, February 6, on the ice of Lake Ann. We've put together a day of events sure to warm a winter's day...

CONCESSIONS – 12:00-3:00 PM
The Chanhassen Rotary and Culvers will sell concessions in the tent on the ice. Note: You may not bring your own food, beverages, or coolers onto the ice.

S'MORES COOKOUT – 12:00-3:00 PM
Chanhassen Boy Scout Troop #330 will be selling S'more kits next to the tent.

BONFIRES (FREE) – 12:00-3:00 PM
Roast a S'more, take a break from skating or fishing, and warm up by the bonfires located right on the ice.

SLIDING HILL (FREE) – 12:00-3:00 PM
Bring your sled and join us for a fun-filled day of sledding in the Parkview picnic area (located near the picnic pavilion/concession stand).

HAYRIDES (FREE) – 12:30-3:00 PM
Take the family on an authentic horse-drawn hayride to enjoy a panoramic view of the contest.

DOOR PRIZE DRAWING (FREE) – 1:00-3:00 PM
Pick up a FREE door prize ticket for a chance to win prizes valued at $3,000. One ticket per person. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

LIVE BAIT AVAILABLE – 12:00-3:00 PM
Boy Scout Troop #330 will sell live bait throughout the contest.

OPEN SKATING (FREE) – 12:00-3:00 PM
Bring your skates and join us for a full-filled day of skating right on Lake Ann.

BINGO – 1:00-2:30 PM
If the fish aren't biting, try your luck at a game of BINGO, literary style. Sponsored by the Friends of the Chanhassen Library. Located under the tent.

FRIENDS OF THE CHANHASSEN LIBRARY (FoCL) MEDALLION HUNT – $750 PRIZE PACKAGE
A city-wide Medallion Hunt will be held beginning Sunday, January 31. The medallion will be hidden on public land in Chanhassen and a clue as to its location will be released daily on the FoCL web site, and Chanhassen Library until Saturday, February 6. For contest rules and more information, visit the Chanhassen Library or www.chanfriends.net.

FRIENDS OF THE CHANHASSEN LIBRARY (FoCL) BOOK SALE – February 4 through 7 - Chanhassen Library
FoCL is having it's annual book sale in conjunction with February Festival. There will be some fantastic bargains on great books. A preview party with food will be held Thursday, February 4th from 4-8:30 p.m. for a cost of $5 (FREE for FoCL members). Proceeds will support library programming.

ICE FISHING CONTEST – 1:00-3:00 PM, $10 PER TICKET

Test your skills in the 17th Annual February Festival Ice Fishing Contest sponsored by the City of Chanhassen in cooperation with the local business community. $6,500 in fishing prizes will be given away for the 50 largest fish. Tickets are for the fishing contest only. A free door prize ticket will be available at the event.

Due to DNR regulations, bass of any length and northerns between 24" and 26" in length are NOT eligible for the contest. If caught, these fish must be released immediately.

Ticket Information - $10 Each (All Ages)

Tickets are available at Byerly's, Cabin Fever Sports in Victoria, Cub Foods Chanhassen, Chanhassen City Hall, Chanhassen Recreation Center, and Ivan's Sinclair and Bait & Tackle. Tickets are also available by mail (click HERE for registration form) or at the contest.

While fishing, tickets must be present during the entire contest (one ticket per hole, limit of two tickets for each person fishing).

Make checks payable to the City of Chanhassen and then mail along with registration form to: City of Chanhassen, 7700 Market Boulevard, P.O. Box 147, Chanhassen, MN 55317 (P.O. Box must be used when mailing).

If the festival cannot be held on February 6, it will will be moved to February 7.
Refunds will only be issued if both dates are cancelled.
