Picnic Reservations
Are you planning a company picnic or family reunion? Chanhassen has several facility options that may be just right for you! To check the availability of any of the picnic sites listed below, contact Jerry Ruegemer by either email or at 952-227-1121. Sites are available from May 1-October 1.
Lakeside Pavilion, Lake Ann Park, 1456 West 78th Street
 A perfect location for those intimate or larger picnics, weddings, class or family reunions. This beautiful 40 ft. x 40 ft. covered shelter has lights, electrical outlets, charcoal grills, trash receptacles, access to water and bathrooms, swimming beach, boat access (non-motorized boats only), a fishing pier, boat rental, and a concession stand. This area will accommodate 25 to 175 people. This popular site is in demand, so call early!
Hilltop Shelter, Lake Ann Park, 1456 West 78th Street
  This large 50 ft. x 100 ft. covered shelter has lights, electrical outlets and many amenities including picnic tables, grills, trash receptacles, portable restrooms, and a water spigot. The general public may use all other park facilities. This area accommodates 100-400 people.
This area of Lake Ann Park is located directly south of the pavillion/recreation shelter. The beach is a quick walk away.
Picnic Shelter, Lake Susan Park, 903 Lake Drive East
 This unique site is located on the shores of Lake Susan. It includes a 25 ft. x 45 ft. covered shelter with a stone fireplace, lights, electrical outlet, water spigot, bathrooms, picnic tables, trash receptacles, play area, sand volleyball courts, and boat access. Group reserving this shelter receive exclusive use of the shelter area, but all other park facilities are subject to use by the general public. This area accommodates 50-200 people.

Chanhassen Park Rental Information
- Reservations will be tentatively recorded. Perspective picnic groups have two weeks to pay their picnic fees and deposit; if this does not occur, their reservation will be canceled.
- A refundable damage deposit of $200 is required by all groups reserving a picnic site. The deposit is due at the time the reservation is made. NO exceptions. The site will be inspected after the picnic, and provided there are no damages, the deposit will be returned promptly.
- The reserving group is responsible for cleaning the reserved area. Garbage cans are provided.
- Picnic groups are permitted to have malt beverages (beer) and wine. Kegs are also permitted. All other forms of alcohol are strictly prohibited.
- Glass containers are not permitted at public beaches and the city skate park.
- Pets are not allowed in city parks. Please leave them at home. Petting zoo’s and other animal contracted services are not permitted.
- Generators providing electricity are not allowed in any of Chanhassen’s picnic sites.
- Groups wishing to bring in any type of electrical amusement game or ride must have approval from the City of Chanhassen.
- Refund policy for canceled reservations shall be:

- Due to inclement weather, your scheduled picnic can be rescheduled or canceled without penalty, subject to availability of sites.
- Upon receiving the two (2) Facility Reservation Contracts, promptly sign them, retain one copy, and then return the remaining copy and $200 deposit to:
