Adaptive Recreation Programs
The Chanhassen Park and Recreation Department believes everyone, with or without disabilities, has the opportunity to participate in leisure programs. The Adaptive Recreation & Inclusion Services program is a cooperative effort of the cities of Chanhassen, Chaska, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Reach for Resources.
Reach for Resources is an agency serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Services include information, referral, advocacy, and counseling. Programs include social/recreation groups and education programs. An integration specialist is on staff to assist people who are interested in participating in “non-adaptive” park and recreation programs.
