The City Manager provides leadership, direction and guidance to all City Departments, which includes Finance, Community Development, Engineering and Public Works, Park & Recreation, Police, and Fire. Additionally, the administration department is also responsible for economic development initiatives, monitors the annual budget, elections, preparation of City Council packets, and ensuring that all who visit during regular business hours receive the services they need.

Todd Gerhardt was appointed City Manager in August of 2001. Prior to his designation as City Manager, he served as the Assistant City Manager for fifteen years. Todd is a graduate of Mankato State University with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
