Surface Water Management Plan Update
The City's first Surface Water Management Plan was adopted in 1994 and directed development and resource management through a time of intense growth.
On August 28, 2006, the Chanhassen City Council unanimously voted to adopt the City's Second Generation Surface Water Management Plan (SWMP). The plan, prepared by the SWMP Task Force, City Staff, and the City's consultant, SEH, will guide water and natural resource management decisions in the City for years to come.
The SWMP contains six major sections:
- Introduction
- Background, History and Physical Environment
- Goals and Policies
- Surface Water Rules
- Wetlands Management
- Implementation Plan
