Overview

The City of Chanhassen is proud to produce, delivery and dispose of potable water as a service to our residents.  Much goes on behind the scenes to provide this service including abiding by and reporting to permitting agencies to make sure we are accountable for the mandated quality and quantity requirements that we provide.

Our system is made up of the following major components:

• 12 groundwater wells
• 2 Water Treatment Plants (East and West)           
• 3 storage reservoirs
• 32 wastewater lift stations
• 170 miles of water main pipe
• 140 miles of sanitary sewer pipe
• 10 dedicated full time S/W Utility employees
