Each year, the Heart of Chan Photo Contest showcases pictures captured of what makes living in Chanhassen so unique and special.

2021 Contest Categories
Art/Architecture, Flora/Fauna, Chanhassen Community Parks, and Rec Sports.

Entry & Submissions

• The contest is open to amateur photographers and is restricted to Chanhassen residents only.
• Up to 5 photos per entrant may be submitted.
• Entrants must be the sole author and owner of the image/photo.
• Submissions must be subjects in the City of Chanhassen.
• All submissions become the property of the City of Chanhassen.
• Photos shall not be more than two years old and must not have been altered in any way other than cropping.
• Entries with names, logos, watermarks, or writing on the photo will not be accepted.
• Submission deadline is Friday, December 31, 2021

Photo/Media Requirements

• Only images in jpeg format will be accepted.
• Submissions must be in color and must be at least 2 MB in size with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Submitted photos must include:

• Your name, address, phone number and email address.
• Title and brief description.
• Date the photo was taken and the address of the location.
• Model’s releases if photos contain identifiable people.

Awards 

Grand Prize: Photo will be published on the cover of the Chanhassen Connection and showcased at Chanhassen City Hall or the Chanhassen Recreation Center. 

Honorable Mention: Photos will receive an awards certificate and placement in a Chanhassen publication, social media, or on the website.
