Night to Unite

Overview

Keeping Chanhassen a safe community is a partnership effort. Each year, the City of Chanhassen joins thousands of communities nationwide in observing Night to Unite
(N2U), a statewide event that builds and fosters community bonds between citizens, businesses and public safety entities in local jurisdictions. N2U supports this effort by reminding citizens that their involvement is vital in building a strong and safe community.

Typically, this neighborhood celebration takes place the first Tuesday in August. Community leaders encourage residents to join their neighbors in observing N2U by attending an organized event in their neighborhood, such as a block party. Carver County deputies and city representatives attempt to visit all participating neighborhoods. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Night to Unite event has been postponed and will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

The City will continue to monitor the situation and follow the Governor's direction. Any future changes will be communicated as needed on the City's website and social media platforms.
