In light of the volume of requests received by the Chanhassen Fire Department, we are unfortunately unable to support requests for birthday visits by a fire truck.  We remain committed to serving the citizens of Chanhassen with emergency response during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Fire Prevention Week

This is the department primary outreach to elementary age students for fire prevention educations. Children get an opportunity to learn how to spot hazards and how to respond in fire emergencies in their homes.

Fire Department Open House

Want to see what goes on at the Fire Department? Come and see for yourself and bring the kids for a fun evening at the station. There are fire truck rides, kids' obstacle course, fire extinguisher hands-on training, auto extrication demo, live fire demonstrations, and food.

Lions Pancake Breakfast

Each Palm Sunday, the local Lions Club takes over the apparatus bays to serve up a pancake breakfast to the general public. The Lions club has a long history supporting the Fire Department and this has become a very well attended event. Pancakes, sausages, coffee and juice are served by the Chanhassen Lions and members of the Chanhassen Fire Department.

Other Event Participation
The Fire Department has been participating in many of the city wide events from attending neighborhood watch gathering to providing medical standby, traffic control and fire education. Here is a list of some of these events:
  • February Festival
  • Fourth of July
  • National Night Out
