The City of Chanhassen published the proposed precinct map for public and City Council review as part of the redistricting process.
The proposed map will be presented to Chanhassen City Council at the Monday, March 21 City Council meeting at 7 p.m. at Chanhassen City Hall, 7700 Market Boulevard. The only impact to Chanhassen residents as a result of precinct designation is the location at which residents vote on Election days.
The City has proposed six precincts. Previously, the city had seven precincts. While Chanhassen added approximately 800 voters in the last ten years, recent Elections have seen high numbers of voters utilizing absentee voting, reducing the demand on Election day locations.
Residents will be notified of their precinct location by postcard sent via US Mail. After mid-May, the State of Minnesota's Polling Place Finder will also be updated. You can also use the map below to determine where you vote. If you need assistance, contact city hall at 952-227-1100.
