[ARCHIVED] Carver County Sheriff's Office Reports Increase in Car Thefts

Carver County Sheriff ICON

The Carver County Sheriff's Office has reported a sharp increase in stolen vehicles and vehicle break-ins recently. It should be noted that all cases involved unlocked vehicles.

The Sheriff's Office would like to offer residents a few reminders to help prevent theft: lock all doors when a vehicle is parked, including when parked in a garage, do not leave keys in the vehicle, remove all valuables before exiting, and keep garage door openers out of sight in vehicles.

Please report any suspicious activity to the Carver County Sheriff's Office at 911 if an emergency, or to the non-emergency CCSO line at 952.361.1231.
