Dear Chanhassen Residents,
Next Tuesday is Election Day. I encourage all of you to take your civic duty seriously and vote. While many have already done so, it cannot be stressed enough how crucial each citizen is to this process. Your vote matters!
Our election officials have been working hard to ensure a smooth process for everyone. You can find all of the pertinent information for Election Day 2020 such as what’s on your ballot and which precinct you should go to is on
Carver County’s website. Polls in the City will be open from 7 am-8 pm. In addition, these extra precautions have been taken at all of our precincts to provide a safe polling environment for citizens:
- All voters and election judges must wear a face covering (mask or shield) – masks will be made available to the public
- Hand sanitizer will be provided at both the entrance and exit to the precinct
- Voting booths will be disinfected between voters
- Plastic barriers between the voters and election judges will be provided
- Floor decals may be installed indicating six-foot social distancing requirement
- Judges will monitor lines to ensure six-foot separation requirement
Historically, Minnesota has had an incredible turnout on Election Day, so make your plan, and get out to vote. It is one of the most important responsibilities as an American!
Wishing you all a safe and happy Halloween weekend!
Warmest Regards,
Elise Ryan
